I am Robert Gallagher, a dedicated health information technology professional currently completing a Master’s in Health Systems Management at Rush University and preparing to begin the Doctor of Health Informatics program at Rutgers University in Fall 2025. I serve as Manager of Revenue Cycle Applications – HIM at Emory Healthcare, where I lead digital strategy, governance, vendor collaboration, and team development across Health Information Management (HIM), Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI), and coding operations.
With a strong background in health information management, revenue cycle optimization, project management, and the Epic electronic health record (EHR), I am passionate about advancing person-centered care and improving the usability and impact of health IT systems. I strive to inspire and lead change in health informatics by aligning technology with clinical and operational goals to enhance the healthcare experience.
I am currently seeking adjunct teaching opportunities in undergraduate HIM and healthcare administration programs, where I can help develop future professionals and cultivate a learning environment rooted in collaboration, innovation, and real-world application. My long-term commitment is to healthcare leadership, research, and innovation through education and health information technology.
